Title: Bowen Falls by Darin Anderson ( 010)

Bowen Falls
Description: Continuing through Fiordland National Park will eventually dead end you into Milford Sound on the southwest coast. This sound is one of the few viables access from the ocean on this section of coast, however it services primarily tourist traffic these days. The uniqueness of the sound is only seen if you take one of the boats that takes you through the sound out to the ocean. Sheer rock faces soar hundreds of feet straight up on both sides, almost like guardians of a hidden secret. There are a number of waterfalls lining the walls of the sound and seals sunning themselves on the rocks nearby. At the end of the sound likes an island with a single tree dominating its landscape, a marker to start the return trip back to the mouth of Milford Sound.
