Description: While hiking through Yellowstone one winter I spied a small figure trotting down the road a mile from me. Being downwind I took a chance and set up a stationary poisiton with my camera hoping for it to draw closer. This coyote is what came over the rise, somewhat unsure of my 'stony' presence but accepting of it. I was able to get a number of shots within 10-15 feet before he realized I wasn't a normal part of his landscape and bounded off through the snow.
